Pat Hay qualifies for World Iron Man Championships

This time Last year, Pat Hay wrote: “In 2012 I came third in my age group at the Port Macquarie Ironman and just missed out on qualifying for the World Championships. With the support of Top Coach I hope to better my time in the Ironman in 2016 and maybe even make my dream come true of qualifying for the World Championships.”

If you read today’s Port Stephens Examiner you would’ve seen that indeed Pat Hay has made it.

Pat writes : “Over the past eighteen months I have been attending Top Coach Functional Fitness sessions with an aim to get stronger, improve my core strength and to help me train injury free. It is very obvious that each trainer communicates with the other team of trainers to ensure that all of my fitness goals have been met and thoroughly covered. I usually aim to attend one HIIT session, one advanced session and one boxing session per week.

As a result of their professionalism and extremely comprehensive fitness sessions I have managed to train injury free over the past eighteen months which has not been possible in the past. I have now qualified for the World Ironman Championships in Hawaii and I will continue to work with the team at Top Coach throughout my preparation for the race of my life.

When training over 20 hours a week motivation can become a hindrance to progress but each week I look forward to my Top Coach sessions because I know that each session is enjoyable, fun and definitely improves not only my physical strength but also my mind set.

The Top Coach team have the ability to get the most out of every single individual that attends their sessions because they take the time to chat to them and really get to know them and their goals.

Their insight and knowledge of the industry is second to none. On a number of occasions I have been performing an exercise months or in some cases a year before the exercises are in magazines saying that they are the best exercises for injury free running or for ‘functional fitness’.

Words can’t express the gratitude I have for Top Coach Functional Fitness because I truly believe without their guidance, motivation, expertise and commitment to my goals I would not have been so successful at my last Ironman race.”
